Week 5 - MBA 6101 - Mozilla Foundation

As technology advances, policy change and implementation lags behind. The ACCESS Act is a proposed legislation to enable end users to move their content from social media platforms. This is important because it creates an environment of competition and gives more access to end users. It will help new companies have an equal standing with other social media platforms as well.

Not only will it promote competition but will help privacy for end users. As an end user, we should have the right to move our content to another platform and have privacy control on who sees our content. Hopefully in time this legislation will pass and provide a more equitable market for social media as well as more privacy for end users.
